Happiness Is Not the Goal
“There” won’t fix what you think it will.
I know what you’ve been told.
Just be happy.
When you lose the weight.
When you make the money.
When you look a certain way.
When you own the thing.
Then you’ll be happy.
It’s a fallacy.
Because “there” still has stress.
“There” still has doubt.
“There” still has disappointment.
Just like “here.”
Happiness is not a destination. It’s a fleeting emotion.
And if you chase only happiness, you shrink your life.
Instead of grasping for happiness, lean into living.
Living means feeling.
The joy.
The discomfort.
The pride.
The fear.
When you expand your ability to feel, you expand your capacity for a big life.
Goals are not accomplished by people who feel only good emotions.
They’re accomplished by people who are willing to feel all of them.
Stop chasing constant happiness.
Start embracing the full human experience.
Awaken Awareness:
Today, purposefully lean into one “positive” emotion.
And one “negative” emotion.
Let yourself feel both. Expand your emotional range.
That is how you expand your life.
