Rehearse the Hard Moment Before It Happens
The 3:00 PM version of you needs a plan.
Look at the day ahead.
When will it be hardest to show up as your best self?
In the evening when you eat even though you are not hungry?
When your kids walk in and it’s instant chaos?
At 3:00 PM when your energy dips?
Tonight when you should go to bed but hit “next episode”?
That moment is predictable.
And predictable moments can be prepared for.
Here’s how you change the pattern:
Decide which pattern you want to interrupt.
Close your eyes and picture that exact time of day.
Notice what you’re thinking and feeling in that moment.
See yourself choosing a different action.
See yourself acknowledging it. Celebrating it.
Visualization is rehearsal.
When you mentally practice it, your brain treats it like experience.
And when the real moment comes, you are not starting from scratch.
You’ve already done it once.
Awaken Awareness:
Take 30 seconds today.
Think about the hardest moment coming up.
Close your eyes.
Rehearse the better response.
Start creating the new pattern before it happens.
